BARDEN LAKE
A large mixed fishery of around 25 acres, this gravel pit has become a Mecca for carp anglers that don’t want to bivvy up overnight. The head of large carp is phenomenal, many anglers have caught well over 100 different double’s each, in a season, including many twenty’s and thirty’s and several over forty pounds There are specimen tench and bream into double figures, enormous nets of bream (well over 100lbs) are regularly taken. The large roach and rudd are more elusive, but dedication can produce spectacular results. One day ticket angler had thirty roach in one session, three of them exceeded 2.lb. Perch and pike also show at times and will respond well to a noisy plug.
